“Create an experience with people” – Jason Treu
I know that all the jobs I have ever had in my life, I got through a personal connection. People are attached to just about every good result you want out of life: a raise, funding your company, providing you with emotional support, finding a romantic partner, going on adventures with you, getting your book published, or being your customers and clients.
This is why I spend so much time focusing on the skills of creating and maintaining valuable relationships. Today’s guest on the Art of Adventure is one of the best at this.
I read his book, Social Wealth, on building relationships last year, and it quickly became one of my top resources for connecting with people.
He coaches high performing individuals in networking, charisma, personal branding, and business leadership.
This is a guy who backs up his knowledge with action. At the end of the interview when I asked him who else he thought I should talk to, I was really impressed with how easily and quickly he thought of his connections that would be perfect for me, and then offered an introduction.
You can tell that he is a really outgoing individual, who also understands what it is like for introverts and inexperienced networkers.
I liked his ideas so much that when I was in Boulder, CO recently, I stole one of his best ideas and hosted a dinner for everyone I knew there.
Welcome to episode 72 with the genius of networking and relationship building, my friend Jason Treu (pronounced “Troy”).
